Current Dreamscene Development

Much have happened to dreamscene arena. More people are trying to search for free dreamscene on the net and the main source of dreamscene is inarguably from wincustomize.com. In fact, many of the dreams featured in this blog are from wincustomize. However, wincustomize has gone a great length to make sure their business plan sustainable. It’s to the point of limiting Deskscapes to run on pre-included dreams only. If you want more, you have to buy the full version.

Apparently, making videos alone is time and money consuming, not to mention the cost to support massive download bandwidth and storage. As for my part, I would gladly to host these dream in my blog, which still have plenty of storage and bandwidth. If you are an active creator, head to our new Upload Page to publish your dream here. I prefer to have original mpeg/avi format as not many of us have paid version of deskscape.

For those who still want to use .dream format, you can install the old version of deskscape which doesn’t have the limitation.

You can get it here:

Looking forward for your dream release,

Taken from Anno 1701, this dream is nice example on how a game scene can be a good dream. Notice the people walking on the right side.

It’s the time for another round of themed dreams. For next posts, we will featured dreams derived from games and we name this theme Gamescene Edition. As our games now are reaching cinema-like quality, it’s not hard to extract good scene from a game.

One program that is capable to that is Fraps. With Fraps, you can video capture any scene from games that use DirectX and OpenGL. Isn’t that cool? If you manage to extract a good scene, don’t forget to upload using our upload page.

We will update you guys with our first game scene in a couple of hours, so stay tuned and don’t forget to upload.

I just can’t wait for ATI’s Cinema 2.0 that offers realtime, cinema-like and interactive Ruby.

Tropical Ocean Waves

This is an exciting dream, not because of its content but of what it represents. This is the first dream created by hdgreetings.com, an e-card website. They say they have a lot of unused footages while making their cards. So they are going to use those footages to create free dreamscenes for all. Isn’t that interesting? I’ll be looking closely for their releases.

Okay, for the dream, this is a very fluid dream, interesting and not bad at all. However, it’s missing the vital part of dreamscenes, its loop. There are a lot to improve in that part and I hope hdgreeting can improve this part in their next release. All in all, this is a great dream to try.
